Profile of the School

• The timimg of the section :
  10:40 am. to 4:35 pm. The student must enter into the School within 10:40 am. in proper School uniform. Late attendence : The student who will be late for three days in a month will lose one day’s attendance. The School authority will not take any responsibility of the late comers.
• Subjects to be taught :
  In class V English is of 100 marks (include literature and langage) and in class VI to IX — English is of 200 marks.
• Other subjects are :
  Bengali, Maths, E.V.S., History, Geography, Science etc.
• For XI & XII School is having three streams in H.S. :
  Science, Arts & Commerece. The admission of class XI generally starts from the month of April, and for class V-IX starts from the month of October.
• Minimum cut off marks :
  from V to IX is 40% in all the Subjects.
• Computer Education :
  School has well equiped computer room with 12 computers in running condition, (Computer Room) and also has Physics, Chemistry, Geography and Nutrition Labs.
• Special classes for the weak students :
  The students who will fail to come up to the class standard need the help of special guidance from the School. SCHOOL TEACHER ARE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE THE PRIVATE TUTION. Guardians are requested not to approach to any school teacher for the same. Stringent action will be taken against the offenders.

  2012 MADHYAMIK 1st : Subhraneil Roy (Total-656) 93%. Ranked 19th in Madhyamik.
  
  2013 MADHYAMIK 1st : Sumit Kr Mondal (Total-651) 93%.
  2013 HIGHER SECONDARY : Science Group : 79%, Arts Group : 84% and Commerce group - 92%.
  
  2014 MADHYAMIK 1st : Arghyadeep Dey(Total-663) 94% Ranked 19th in Madhyamik. Highest in Behala and Thakurpukur Zone.
  2014 MADHYAMIK 2nd : Arnab Das (Total-649) 92%.
  2014 MADHYAMIK 3rd : Moloy Sinha(Total-633) 90%.
  2014 HIGHER SECONDARY : Science Group : 91%, Arts Group : 77%(approx) and Commerce group : 80%.
• School generally conducts extempore in the month of April on the School foundation day. The School organizes merit award ceremony and the School award function in the month of August. 70% attendance is compulsory in order to give any exam. Defaulters our not are allowed to give exam under any situation.
• Annual Sports :
  Annual sports of the School generally held at Behala Blind School.
• Meditation Class :
  It is mainly for those students who are having short attention span.
• School Library :
  The School has a well equiped library carrying various kinds of Books and journals.
• Children’s Park :
  School has a children’ park to entertain the kids.
• Wall Magazine :
  School publishes wall magazines made by the students of different classes.
• Educational cum Project Tour :
  Project Tour is compalsory for the students of class XI & IX.
• School Canteen :
  The School has a well organized canteen. The canteen was started from the year 2012.
• Distribution of School copies and uniform :
  The students must wear the School uniform given by the School only. Uniforms purchased from other shops strictly prohibited. School copies and other items are available at the store.
• School bus service :
  The School has not arranged any bus service still now.
• Rules for taking T.C. :
  A continuing student must clear the session charge in order to take the T.C. of the current standard.
• School Auditorium :
  School has its own auditorium named “Light House”, where cultural programs take place.
• Slide Show :
  The school has the provision for different slides shows.
• Communication :
  Student must communicate in English through out the School hours, other wise they will be fined Rs.500/-.
